A native of Southern California, David has been enjoying the desert lifestyle from an early age.  His fondest childhood memories were created right here in Palm Desert, during his many trips to visit his grandparents.

Following his education, David enjoyed a successful career in executive management that took him around the globe.   But he missed the beauty and tranquility of the desert, and in 2003 he left the corporate world behind, made the Desert his permanent residence, and started a rewarding career in real estate.

David attributes his ongoing success to two things – his ability to listen to what people are looking for and his commitment to ‘due diligence’ in carrying out his responsibilities.

His familiarity with the Desert’s many diverse and unique communities gives David the knowledge and experience to help you find the right neighborhood that matches the lifestyle you desire. Let David apply the same ‘due diligence’ that made him successful in the corporate world to help you find the perfect place to call home.

David and his partner, Dean, live in Palm Desert with their two boys – a Lab named Truman and a Golden named Harley.   David was a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of the Dessert and Truman was his first puppy, who has since retired and is now an Ambassador for the program.

“David’s familiarity with the area is a huge plus.  That, coupled with his extensive experience, makes him a valuable member of the team.  We’re lucky to have him in our office,” says Laura Clark, Director of Sales.

Windermere Homes & Estates welcomes Dave Peterson to the Palm Desert branch!

Dave began his real estate career in 1997 in So. Lake Tahoe, California. First, opting to go into it part time, then finding that he enjoyed the people contact and the challenge of finding the right home for the right client. In 2003 he retired as a Fire Captain for the City of So. Lake Tahoe Fire Department. This challenging profession taught him the value of life. The service side of the profession taught him the importance of treating each and every person Dave meets with respect and dignity. To this day, he tries to hold himself to these very standards. In 2007, Dave, along with his wife of over 40 years, was asked to join a small, but successful, real estate firm in Tri Palm Estates. With excitement, they took advantage of the opportunity to work full time in this dynamic industry. In 2009, He successfully passed the State of California exam for Broker. In November  of 2012, the owner of the brokerage they worked under decided to retire. It was at that time Dave and Angela opened up their own business under the name of Team Peterson Realty. Now they have joined forces with Windermere Homes & Estates.

Experience and Specialty:

  • Retired from The City of So. Lake Tahoe Fire Dept. 2003
  • Licensed Since July, 1997
  • Broker Since August, 2009
  • Business Owner Since November 2012
  • Represents all age clients throughout the Coachella Valley

“We are very excited to have Dave join our Windermere family out here in the Desert. He is an excellent fit for our team with his high standards and dedication to service,” says Brian Gooding, co-owner of Windermere Homes & Estates.

Windermere Homes & Estates welcomes Angela Peterson to the Palm Desert branch!

Sometimes Angela feels like she’s lived two different lives—the one before the Coachella Valley and the one since moving to the Coachella Valley.  The one before is where she spent the better part of 25 years living through cold winters filled with snow up in South Lake Tahoe, serving the public in the capacity of a city administrator, raising her two beautiful daughters, and focusing on fulfilling the day-to-day needs of those around her—both professionally and personally.  After her kids “left the nest”, she and Dave decided to do the same.

In 2003, they came to the beautiful Coachella Valley where Angela started her “second” life.  She did not know exactly what to expect, but the bright, blue sky filled with sunshine and the surrounding mountains were good for her soul.  She found one of her true passions in life—golf, and Angela has loved to play the game ever since.  In 2007, she and Dave had the opportunity to join a prominent, long-time real estate brokerage and sell properties in the place they had grown to love.  Dave and Angela have always worked as a “team.”  Being married for over 40 years gives them the unique ability to combine their strengths and to anticipate needs before they come up, and so it seemed only natural that they would be “Team Peterson” in real estate as well. Being in real estate has been a fulfilling and rewarding experience. They have had the opportunity to meet clients that have become friends, share their experience and knowledge of the Coachella Valley with others, and ultimately help others make memories for many years to come.  It’s their true passion to provide the type of experience for a buyer or seller that they would want, and they strive each day to match our clients’ needs with the best the Coachella Valley has to offer.  This has been a privilege and Angela looks forward to continuing this service.

“We are extremely excited to have Angela join our team.  Her knowledge and dedication to service is exemplary,” says Laura Clark, Director of Sales.
